In January 2024, Goshir Chenrezig Klang held a special empowerment (wang) puja featuring three wrathful yet compassionate deities:

• Hayagriva (Tamdrin / 马头明王) — The wrathful form of Chenrezig, known for his power to subdue obstacles and negative forces.
• Vajrapani (Chagna Dorje / 金刚手菩萨) — The embodiment of all Buddhas' power, protector of the Dharma.
• Garuda (Khyung / 大鹏金翅鸟) — The mythical bird that removes obstacles related to nagas and elemental imbalances.

This empowerment was bestowed to grant practitioners the blessings and protection of these powerful deities, clearing away hindrances on the spiritual path and accumulating merit for the new year.

The Amitabha Jang Chub Puja is a profound practice for the benefit of the deceased and all sentient beings. This puja, dedicated to Buddha Amitabha (the Buddha of Infinite Light), guides departed souls toward rebirth in the pure land of Dewachen (Sukhavati).

Through the recitation of the Amitabha Sutra, mantras, and the compassionate power of Chenrezig, participants generated boundless merit dedicated to their departed loved ones. The puja also served to purify negative karma and plant seeds for enlightenment.

The 2020 Amitabha Jang Chub Puja continued the tradition of providing dedicated practice for the deceased. Despite the challenges of the pandemic year, the center conducted this essential puja to ensure departed souls received the blessings of Amitabha Buddha.

Practitioners gathered to recite prayers and mantras, creating a powerful current of compassion that transcends all barriers. The puja concluded with the dedication of merit to all beings who had passed away, especially those who departed during the difficult period.

Day 2 — The Guru Rinpoche and Mahakala Puja continued with an extended fire offering. Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), the great master who brought Buddhism to Tibet, is the source of countless blessings and spiritual attainments.

Mahakala, the compassionate wrathful protector, was invoked to remove obstacles and protect the Dharma. This combined puja brought together the wisdom of Guru Rinpoche and the protective power of Mahakala, creating a powerful practice for the Lunar New Year period.

Day 1 — This auspicious puja began the Lunar New Year celebrations at Goshir Chenrezig Klang. Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) was invoked as the wisdom deity who brings prosperity and removes obstacles, while Mahakala, the great protector, was called upon to clear away negativity.

The puja included the chanting of Guru Rinpoche's mantra — OM AH HUNG VAJRA GURU PADMA SIDDHI HUNG — and the Mahakala protector prayers, creating a powerful atmosphere of blessing and protection for the new year ahead.

Day 2 — The two-day Amitabha Jang Chub Puja continued with an extended ceremony on the second day. This profound puja offers liberation through hearing — the Amitabha practice that guides departed consciousnesses toward the pure land.

The second day featured the Bardo instruction and the powerful dedication of merit, ensuring comprehensive benefit for all beings, both living and departed.

Day 1 — The first day of the Amitabha Jang Chub Puja began with the preliminary practices and the main recitation of the Amitabha Sutra. Participants engaged in visualization practice, imagining the pure land of Dewachen and the brilliant red form of Buddha Amitabha.

The puja creates a bridge of compassion between this world and the pure land, allowing practitioners to generate merit on behalf of their departed loved ones and all beings.

Wesak (Vesak) Day is the most important day in the Buddhist calendar, commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni. Goshir Chenrezig Klang celebrated this holy day with prayers, offerings, and acts of generosity.

The celebration included traditional butter lamp offerings, the bathing of the Buddha statue ceremony, and the dedication of merit for world peace. Devotees gathered to reaffirm their commitment to the Buddha's path of compassion and wisdom.

Day 2 — The second day of the Lunar New Year Guru Rinpoche and Mahakala Puja featured a extensive fire offering (homa). The fire offering is one of the most powerful methods in Vajrayana Buddhism for purifying negativities and accumulating merit.

Various auspicious substances were offered into the sacred fire while mantras were recited, transforming them into wisdom nectar that blesses all beings. The puja concluded with the distribution of blessed substances to all participants.

Day 1 — The 2019 Lunar New Year celebrations began with this puja dedicated to Guru Rinpoche and Mahakala. Guru Rinpoche, the Second Buddha, is especially invoked for removing obstacles and granting temporal and ultimate wealth. Mahakala is the great compassionate protector who clears away hindrances to practice.

This puja is traditionally performed at the start of the Lunar New Year to create auspicious conditions for the year ahead, removing obstacles and inviting prosperity and spiritual growth.

The 2018 Amitabha Jang Chub Puja was conducted with the dedication to all beings who have passed away, ensuring their journey toward the pure land of Sukhavati. Under the compassionate direction of the center's spiritual guides, this practice embodies the Mahayana ideal of benefiting all sentient beings.

The puja included the Amitabha Sadhana, recitation of the Amitabha pure land mantras, and extensive dedication prayers. Participants experienced deep peace and connection with the compassionate activity of Buddha Amitabha.

The Wesak Day celebration at Goshir Chenrezig Klang brought together the community to honor the life and teachings of Lord Buddha. The day began with morning chanting, followed by offerings and meditation.

Wesak is a time for reflection on the Buddha's teachings and renewal of one's commitment to the path. The celebration at our center emphasized the practical application of the Buddha's wisdom in daily life, with teachings and guided meditation sessions.
